Blindspots: Testing Visibility and Local Conditions

A prototype pandemic response atlas for identifying places where infections may be under-detected and where broad restrictions may impose disproportionate socioeconomic burden.

The current prototype maps COVID testing visibility at IRIS level, socioeconomic burden at IRIS level, and high-resolution 200m socioeconomic indicators for Paris.

Project summary

The project uses French COVID-19 and INSEE socioeconomic datasets to identify areas where low testing and high positivity may signal under-detection, and where lockdown-style interventions may have higher local costs.
